RACC Runoffs

http://members.iracing.com/membersite/member/RACCRunoffs.do

The RACC Runoffs are a multi-day points chase to determine which drivers will be eligible to compete in the later rounds of the World Cup of iRacing (i.e. RACC Finals and World Cup Finals) and how they will be gridded.

Not everyone is eligible to compete in the Runoffs. You are eligible to compete if your club won a Regional Season Club Championship this year

RACC Finals

http://members.iracing.com/membersite/member/RACCFinals.do

The RACC Finals determine which club from each region will move forward to compete in the World Cup of iRacing Finals.

All drivers who competed in the RACC Runoffs are ranked by gross club points scored during the Runoffs. This ranking determines who can race in the RACC Finals.

Only the top two (or possibly three) drivers from each division will be allowed onto the track. However, all drivers are encouraged to register for the oval and road finals because if the top drivers do not register, the field will be filled with the next highest ranked drivers who do register.

The World Cup of iRacing

The World Cup of iRacing

The World Cup of iRacing represents a new aspect of the sport of internet racing. In addition to all of the individual racing opportunities that iRacers enjoy, the World Cup of iRacing gives each of our members around the world the chance to compete as part of a geographically based club, working throughout the year with their teammates toward a common goal, one that would be out of reach for the vast majority of people racing on their own.

The first tier of the 2009/2010 World Cup of iRacing tournament, for Regional Season Club Championship competition, will consist of four standard 12-week iRacing seasons.

Season 1: February 2, 2009 - April 26, 2009
Season 2: May 5, 2009 - July 27, 2009
Season 3: August 4, 2009 - October 26, 2009
Season 4: November 3, 2009 - January 25, 2010

The second tier of the 2009/2010 World Cup of iRacing tournament, for Regional Annual Club Championship competition, will consist of a one-week Runoff for each region among all of the RSCC-winning clubs from the four standard seasons.

Regional Annual Club Championship Runoffs: January 26, 2010 - January 30, 2010
Regional Annual Club Championship Final: January 31, 2010

The third tier of the 2009/2010 World Cup of iRacing tournament, the World Cup of iRacing Finals, will consist of a single-day schedule of races open to drivers who score the most points for their RACC-winning clubs during the five-day RACC Runoffs.

World Cup of iRacing Finals: February 6, 2010

http://members.iracing.com/membersite/member/WorldCup.do

The one day World Cup of iRacing Finals is the culmination of a year-long tournament. Each of the seven RACCs enter five racers for both the road and oval final. The racers are chosen by total gross club points scored during the multi-day RACC Runoffs.

The winner of the World Cup of iRacing will be the club that scores the most gross club points on Finals Day as determined by combined gross club points from both road and oval category events.

Race times on Saturday, February 6 will be 20:00 GMT for the oval course final and 23:00 GMT for road course final.
